For Unseen 2018, Galerie Les filles du calvaire chose to present the works of Nelli Palomäki and SMITH .
Nelli Palomäki : We will display a series of beautiful staged portraits, all shot on film and in black and white, that investigates the relationship between siblings. The images visualize this range of feelings through the different ways that the subjects physically interact with each other.
We will also show the last SMITH’s project, Saturnium. Through the hybridisation of various techniques and medias, through the exploitation of new technologies and collaboration with scientists and musician Antonin-Tri Hoang, SMITH elaborates a poetry of metamorphosis. Saturnium, awarded and commissioned by Swiss Life à 4 mains, has been shown at Le Palais de Tokyo (Paris) in 2017.
