For the new edition of Untitled Miami, we are delighted to present a duo exhibition featuring two acclaimed female artists: Frances Goodman and Kate MccGwire.
Frances Goodman, born in 1975 and based in Johannesburg, explores contemporary beauty and desire through bold and humorous sculptures using fake nails and glitter. She questions stereotypes surrounding women and their identity in our society.
Kate MccGwire, born in 1965 in the United Kingdom, plays with shapes and organic materials to create striking sculptural installations. Her works, such as 'Retch' or 'Smother,' evoke feminine grotesqueness and often overflow from domestic architecture.
These two artists transform ordinary materials, from fake nails to feathers, into works of great beauty. Their work challenges preconceived ideas about femininity in our society.
