Third Quarter-Final is a happening that will take place at the Les filles du calvaire gallery on the occasion of the opening of the second part of the exhibition L’Atlas, joueur by Louis Verret and the third quarter-final match of the Euro 2024 football championship.
The ground floor of the gallery, occupied by an in situ installation, will host a performance (sound poetry and concrete music), a variety concert, and a culinary offering to complement (or alter) the projection of this knockout match.
Third Quarter-Final models itself on the spectacle of the stadium and the inability to fix one’s gaze: between the sonic and visual activity of the supporters, the unfolding of the collective game and the expressions of individuality by the players, the musical or playful interludes, the weather-related randomness, the vapors, and winks to history, it is impossible to decide.
