Espace Monte-Cristo immerses you in a dimension that is both narrative and poetic on the occasion of its new exhibition. Through a selection of more than 50 sculptures by French and international artists. Les Mondes imaginaires invites you to explore through a dreamlike journey conceived as a story in several chapters…
Populated by strange animals, a mysterious forest extends on the edge of an unfathomable city composed of houses and architectures bordering a beach where, in the shade of colorful palm trees, a makeshift hut flourishes . As you climb the steps to the upper floor, you will be guided by a solar installation that extends this journey into the unknown. Witness to the history of the Collection, a cabinet of curiosities evokes the journey of an explorer who visited past exhibitions, like so many distant lands.
Whether intimate or political, the works presented create an unusual landscape that gently and delicately evokes the hopes and fears of our world in the making. Alternating tenderness and mischief, the exhibition invites you to rediscover your child's gaze to better question our era through our stories, games and dreams, in the hope of imagining a possible future, to be realized together.
