PERFORMANCE: Everybody's Fluid III by Crush Mandarine (Michel Jocaille and Charlotte Sarian)
Saturday, September 7 at 5 PM
Duration: 30 minutes
Not recommended for children
Crush Mandarine presents a visual and sound performative experience using steel musical instruments connected to an electronic instrumentarium. These elements are combined with visual materials transformed live, captured by a camera, and projected onto a screen.
Everybody's Fluid III is a four-handed performance that traces the genesis of a creation at the intersection of the organic and the technological. Is it the emergence of a hybrid form, a non-human entity?
This performance explores the idea of transitional states of materials and forms, where bodies become objects of desire, creation, and extension.
Through repetitive gestures where everything is cycle and metamorphosis, the materials manipulated by Michel and Charlotte transform into a visual and sound ritual, in harmony with a memorial and empirical process.
Paraffin wax liquefies under the effect of heat, while Charlotte performs accelerated movements accompanied by gestures associated with her instruments, which become extensions of her body. Michel also engages in ritualized movements, interacting with his materials, in the face of the slow rhythms of a languid ambiance that intensifies, where Charlotte's organic and dreamlike sounds frenetically overlap, until the emergence of a new form.
Everybody’s Fluid III invites you to immerse yourself in an experimental visual and sound dreamlike atmosphere, presented as a cine-concert, installation, and performance.
