La Garance, Scène Nationale de Cavaillon, presents the exhibition Les Vies Fabuleuses from February 26 to June 26, 2025. This exhibition is curated by AnneSophie BERARD as part of the CURA program, initiated by the Centre national des arts plastiques (Cnap) and the Association des scènes nationales (ASN).
Launched by the French Ministry of Culture, the CURA program aims to support the presence of visual arts within national theaters by inviting 12 curators (individuals or teams) to design and implement a visual arts program throughout an entire season.
Les Vies Fabuleuses is a group exhibition that explores the societal resonances found in representations of imaginary beings—when living creatures break free from their condition. The use of living beings in tales of wonder serves as an allegory for an alternative way of living together: allowing new interactions, exploring our hybridities, fantasizing reality, deconditioning our patterns, decentering the human perspective, and questioning our desires.
Participating artists: Carole Chebron, Beya Gille Gacha, Karen Knorr, Madame, Scenocosme, Stella Sujin, Virginie Yassef.
