FINISSAGE | SATURDAY, APRIL 19
4 PM — S’ÉMERVEILLER
Conversation between Karine Rougier & Amélie Adamo, art historian
As part of the S’émerveiller series, organized in partnership with a selection of galleries in the Marais, art historian and curator Amélie Adamo invites artist Karine Rougier for a conversation about her exhibition Jardin des souffles at Galerie Les filles du calvaire (21 rue Chapon, 75003 Paris).
Starting from the notion of wonder, their discussion will explore the presence of spirituality and the beauty of nature in the artist’s universe, nourished by mythologies, religions, and poetry. Weaving together realms and memories, fragments and sutures, Karine Rougier’s art questions what connects us to the universe and to others. The marvellous, the sacred, and love unfold within a luminous and delicate poetry that celebrates life and harmony — like a colourful talisman conjuring away disenchantment and the violence of the world.
5:30 PM — ÉCOUTER
A concert will follow the conversation, performed by the Malcor Consort, featuring a repertoire of Elizabethan music (17th-century English music).

— Thomas de Pierrefeu (Violone)
