Artist Lore Stessel will be present for a guided tour on Saturday, December 16th at 4 p.m.

From November 3rd to December 20nd, 2023, the gallery Les filles du calvaire is pleased to present the first solo exhibition of the Belgian artist Lore Stessel. Titled Wave, this exhibition brings together a collection of unique photographic works resulting from the collaboration between the photographer and the dancer(s). 

 

Having studied painting at the Luca School of Arts in Brussels, Stessel has retained the support and gesture, the technique by which she applies gelatin-silver emulsion to canvas, allowing the revelation of her images. The rest of her practice aligns her with photography, a skill she acquired at the National School of Photography in Arles.
